Privacy notice · draft for legal review

Enquiries are handled with care.

Controller and contact. John Francis Studio is the controller for enquiry information. Contact: jfrancisdesign@gmail.com.

Information and purpose. We process your name, email address, message, consent record, and any artwork reference you include so that we can respond to studio enquiries about exhibitions, commissions, loans, and visits. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to professional correspondence; where required, your affirmative consent supports the requested reply.

Recipients and transfers. Enquiries are transmitted using Resend (email delivery) and delivered to the mailbox provider selected for the configured studio recipient. These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where applicable, transfers rely on the provider’s recognised safeguards, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Retention. We retain enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to respond, maintain a legitimate studio record, or meet legal obligations. We review inactive enquiries periodically and normally delete them within 24 months unless an ongoing relationship or legal requirement justifies longer retention.

Your rights. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and may withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority; UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. This notice is operational guidance and requires legal review before launch.
